March 2011 Newsletter

From the President:
Howdy to all!
I am so excited the ground hog did not see his shadow! I know because I stood outside at sunrise at my house. No shadow, so early so spring here we come.
It has been a busy time finishing up a few projects and true to form starting more. Are you a one project at a timer or do you have multiples going at once? I think the answer to that is as fun as the one about do you sew with your shoes on or off? My sewing machine pedal doesn’t know what a shoe is. Another good one-- do you cut everything out first or do you cut as you go. I’m a cut as you go girl. I tend to change my mind too much to cut all at once.
Hope everyone is well! Keep on quilting and creating! Will see you soon!
----Lynn Lucas

Programs

March Meeting - June Fish will be our guest speaker. Quilt Appraisals will be the topic, what to appraise, how to appraise, what appraisers look for, what info appraisers need. Come with questions and learn about an important topic in our quilting lives.

April Meeting - Bring in a tool you use in quilting that was not intended for quilters. Something you took from the garage that works, something from the kitchen, the bathroom, whatever you use that helps. We all know about freezer paper, shelf liner and toothpicks, but there are a lot of things out there we use and can share with each other.

May Meeting - The QSC Menopause Quilts are here! Come see them up close, marvel at the work and humor. ---Lynn Buske
